Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

"Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

A junkie is a junkie whether you're fat, thin, black or white.

quote:
The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

I am of the belief that an example needed to be shown and Iraq (Saddam) was the lucky one. I agree that the U.S. should keep their own counsel on foreign relations and military policy.

quote:
Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

I don't quite see how these are related. My best guess is the supposed hypocrisy of punishing Joe Blow for nothing while Richie Rich operates with impunity.

If a defenseless child isn't enough for everyone we can always include infanticide. Corporations should be held liable for willful destruction of common resources not to include so-called hype.

quote:
Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

If you believe the Bible then it's true that Jesus loves you, the homosexuals and Hillary Clinton but that doesn't mean anyone is free from punishment. God hates all the time in the Bible. If you've read it one thing you can't say is that He is anything but fair.

quote:
The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

I'm not totally up to date on this issue but I highly doubt that the troop's pay is being slashed unless you mean some other form of salary.

quote:
Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

I would say both major parties have these types of clowns among their ranks. For the record, imo saying that he's a degenerate is being kind.

quote:
If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

If they're doing it, so what. If they contract an STD or get pregnant they should live with the consequences and attempt to increase their self-control.

quote:
A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Those participating in Iraq have a choice as to their level of participation.

quote:
HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Like any business the object is to operate profitably not to cater to cussin'it.

quote:
Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Neither is a good idea.

quote:
Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Global warming could be true but it is just as likely to be hype. I know of no one who considers tobacco use to be harmless. Why can't Creationism be taught in schools if Darwinism is taught? While we're on schools we should disband the entire public school system.

Obviously, cussin'it has never been duped by anyone in his life. I'm not saying they were in the dark about Saddam from the beginning but given the events in the late '70's it doesn't take a genius to understand the reasoning behind their support of Saddam as opposed to Iran.

quote:
A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

A President perjuring himself is an impeachable offense. On this I agree. Lying in general is not good but not impeachable. I don't know what would be worse: Lying to enlist support for a war or buying it hook, line and sinker.

quote:
Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

Why not get rid of public schools? Federal Reserve? Social Security? Medicare? The Constitution can theoretically have anything in there given enough support.

Seeing that Bush has about as much chance of driving himself somewhere as my ex has in staying sober, we should scrutinize his MVR.

The last 3 I'll leave. I don't know if I'm considered a neo-con though I share some of the same opinions ocassionally.
