Michael Brown’s stepfather screamed for “justice” in Ferguson.
Now, justice might be served … but it will be holding him accountable.
New reports indicate that police in Ferguson are finally investigating Louis Head, who is in a relationship with Brown’s mother.
Head infamously riled up protesters after the grand jury decided not to indict officer Darren Wilson.
On camera, the stepfather was seen repeatedly screaming, “Burn this b**** down!” It was widely viewed as a call for rioters to damage the city as an act of revenge.
Inciting a riot is exactly what police want to talk to Head about. He is one part of a larger ongoing investigation into the arson and looting that took place after the grand jury decision.
Even Head’s own attorney, Benjamin Crump, called the display “completely inappropriate,” although he also defended his client’s angry outbursts as “raw emotion.”
The rioters apparently took the words literally. According to The Blaze, at least twelve buildings were burned after a mob of looters overran the city.
A police spokesman said that Brown’s stepfather hasn’t been interviewed by investigators, but he is on the list.
Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder has been one of the most vocal advocates for the investigation of Head. While speaking on the Laura Ingraham Show, Kinder bluntly stated that Head “should be arrested and charged with inciting to riot.”
It appears that clashes with the police are not uncommon among Brown’s family. The Inquisitr reported that Brown’s stepfather has served time for drug trafficking.
Brown’s mother also has problems with the law. She’s facing armed robbery charges after she allegedly assaulted another family member and then stole over $2,000 in cash and merchandise.
The investigation of Louis Head and many others needs to happen. People who helped burn buildings — with their hands or with their words — do not get a free pass simply because they are angry.
If people truly believe in “justice,” then it must apply to everyone of all colors.
