NOTES pertaining to Monday's MLB card
*Boston Red Sox for past two seasons, when playing After Scoring 4orless runs in previous two games are 14-2 (11-5 at -1.5)
Since Apr 14, Red Sox have played nine games in which they entered having lost the previous two games. In those nine, they're 8-1 with all eight wins by 2+ runs.
*Chicago WhiteSox this season playing Home After Allowing 6+ in a home game are 13-4 (10-7 at -1.5). Roll it back into last May and they're 28-10 (22-16 at -1.5)
*TB Rays have not won four consecutive games this season when all were Away. Last season, they did it twice in five opportunities, with those fourth wins at Baltimore and at Pittsburgh - both bottom tier teams at the time. In neither of those cases did they proceed to win a fifth straight (potential relation to Tuesday's game if Rays pull a win tonight).
*Atlanta Braves are now 11-32 this season in Home games when graded at -1.5
When playing Home After Scoring 6+ in previous game, they're 8-6, but only three of those wins beat the -1.5
*San Francisco are now 31-14 this season in Away games when graded at +1.5 -- When playing After an AwayWin, they're 14-5 at +1.5
Head to head past 11 between these two clubs, ATL has beaten the -1.5 just once.
*Cincinnati Reds, when playing After Allowing 3orless runs are now 9-27.
I think we catch the friendly looking price for LAD home game due to speculation J Schmidt does not work out in his first start since 2007. Likely not a problem as the Reds offense is below average and in the event Schmidt seems hinky, in comes the hefty Dodger bullpen. Meanwhile, the Bums have got to be about to pop a 7+ pop on someone and if they get to Reds pen before the sixth, tonight could be the night.
