It's all good....I got the feeling I can finangle at least one decent terrace seat at the Temple in Arlington from Punter next time I come in town.

Third base side about in line with the far end of the visitor dugout....second level a couple rows up....catbird seat...In spring 2007 when Barman Jr and I last attended, they were only like $26

No one's posted in this thread for 4 hours. Than we both post at the same time. Gimme some odds on THAT!

Tough crowd around here......

Saturday:

MIL +100
NYM -135
SD +220
MIN -110
SEA -110

Plays #1,2,4 already discussed in previous posts. Mets are in same spot inj which they beat LAD, who is also in the same angle as that game. MIN reasons were posted yesterday.

SF in letdown spot off the No-No. And 1-8 since 8/06 after tallying 8+ runs in consecutive games. If SD has a pulse we'll see it today.

SEA 9-1 at Home this year if 1-3 or 0-4 last 4 games. TEX 7-23 Away run since last season if 3-1 or 4-0 last 4 games. Washburn stingy at Home, allowing just 6 earned runs last 35 innings. Visitor on 5-17 run since last year when Millwood throws.

Sorry have not been dropping by.

Slim pickings today but going to try a parlay: Mets under 4 1st 5 innings and the Giants $2 to win $2.95

Saturday, July 11

I've got three.....and fwiw, I have just paid my long-suffering CR sports agent and am back into Real Play

1) Washington Nats playing Away After Scoring 5+ in previous (any) game are a meager 3-13, with just four of those 16 beating the +1.5

Nats playing Away this season vs LH starters have only won three times in 13 tries, with five of those 13 beating the +1.5

Houston has played an almost exact 2x1 ratio of games finishing with margins of more than one run. But since eight of past nine have been non-1run finishes, we'll play it safe and use Astros on moneyline -148

--------

2) Los Angeles Dodgers this season when playing After Allowing 5+ runs in previous (any) game are a lusty 22-7, including 16 of their past 18 in this role. When the target game is a road tilt, they've won 11 of past 12, with nine of those 12 by 2+ runs. Using LAD on moneyline -109

1&2a) For those more daring, a 2TeamParlay of HOU -1.5 (+144) and LAD -1.5 (+150) pays 5.1x1

----

3) Arizona Snakes when facing a LH starter are 6-16-1 this season when their TeamTotal is "5"

Also this year, in all games where Zona has scored MoreThan5 in previous two, they're 1-5-1 vs TeamTotal of "5"

Include last season in that latter angle (2-6-2) and they're 3-11-3 vs "5" After Scoring MoreThan5 in previous two games.

Using Zona TeamTotal Under 5 (-110)

BONUS ....I don't have the precise numbers on following two Angles, but they're becoming increasingly interesting

1) TB Rays, when playing in a Saturday home game preceding one of their postgame "Summer Concerts" are undefeated following last time out when they won prior to the Pat Benatar concert. Following tonight's game, Grammy winning Smashmouth (I know, I know....comedy gold quality) performs. I believe I heard them say last time out it's now a 13-0 run

2) TB Rays, when playing at Home with attendance of 30K+ last year were about 25-3 and this year it's been pretty much the same, though I can't quantify it. I'd make a confident guess they're at about a 35-5 record over past season+ when playing in front of the large crowds in their yard where the capacity is about 37K.

The moneyline here is way too tall to lay, so we're using TB -1.5 (+120)

That happens to tie into another strong angle which I don't have time to quantify (gotta do lawn/garden $$ now) wherein the Rays playing at Home After Allowing 3orless pretty much crush....with a .800+ win percentage and well over half of those beat the -1.5 runline

Tough crowd around here......

Saturday:

MIL +100
NYM -135
SD +220
MIN -110
SEA -110

friendly pregame feedback

* MIL -- I'm on Dodgers per my analysis in above posts
* NYM, SD --Investing Rule - If info points to a bad team, that doesn't mean play that team, it means Pass the whole deal

SanFran has a lot of very, very strong Home numbers, but the price precludes using them here, especially after having scored so much past few games with their low-grade offense

* MIN -- No opinion...didn't have time to give this one an in-house look
* SEA -- Totally concur and have included the Seamen in my Saturday load as noted in the Bar n Grill Great Game thread

Heading out for few hours of lawn/garden...will be able to check in for a moment after, and then we're off to local sports pub to watch Rays and drink the ol' whiskey.

This thread is for those who worship on Saturdays, Sundays, or not at all. What this thread is NOT for are for people to drop a couple of picks without supporting them with a few reasons. In other words, this thread is not to be used to in a fashion similar to calling someone a Ratwanger and then clicking 'Submit.' ~~:<<

When playing a parlay and one team is -275 and in the other you play under on 2 teams with very low ERA pitchers and neither team can hit .

Even a rat wanger should require no description of why.

Punter I hope you don't have me pigeonholed in the ratwanger/warmonger category. But yep, I'm right of you for sure. Good Luck [on Sunday LOL]!

Jose Cueto is into the Cuervo. Gives up 3 runs in the 1st to a team that has scored 8 in the last 6 games or is it 6 in the last 8. Oh well 4 straight scoreless innings is a possibility.
