The book would offer +300 and if you bet the identical three teamer off Pinnacle's line it would pay +340. Even if you matched against Vegas lines it would be break even at best. You would think that the books would try to rebuild their customer base and attract new customers with generous odds boosts. It's a direct opposite. Fan Duel once and awhile still offers free money. Last week it was the Lakers +52 points. I believe that was number. You could bet up to $50. The line went up 1 point for every 2500 people who bet the Lakers at their various online books around the country. The line started Lakers -5.5. They took in about $5 million in wagers and everyone got the closing line. It gets Fan Duel huge publicity. They have a deal with many local sports blog sites. They have a very generous sign up bonus to begin with. So both new customers and existing customers could wager on the Lakers and for new customers they got both the sign up bonus and the Lakers bet. I'm sure they signed up tons of new customers.
