I purchased Netflix in Oct. 2012 based on their venture into the production of programming and the buzz over the "House of Cards". I got those shares at 66.67. It did so well I bought another larger block at 187.12 in February.

I'm not any kind of stock guru I just went with my gut. I did the same with JEC @39 in Oct 2012 & Kraft @44 also in Oct 2012 (which also paid a nice 3.8% div). Those two got sold for a 29% & 40% gain.

On the opportunities missed side in Oct of 2010 I spotted a stock CMG that had a 100% increase over the previous year and considered jumping in. Then I got the feeling after all that growth there may be a drop back so I decided to wait and get it when it fell off some. Unfortunately it didn't drop and as it took off every time I looked and I saw a new high I kept thinking now it's really too late. I finally had enough and was ready to get in when it was at 421. But at that high price I ended up baulking and thought I made a good move as it dropped to 325. It stayed down for like 3 months but it has since come back and is now peaking at 527. It was that mistake that motivated me to buy more of netflix even after it had more than doubled. I remembered that CMG up up and up and decided to see where this one goes. It's still going up currently @329. I have a standing 10% loss sell order that I hope doesn't happen for awhile. This is one that's been very very good to me. Think about me when your next Movie arrives isn't Netflix great?
