CAL will not cover 18 against a slow tempoed Oregon State team.
The Golden Bears haven't been so golden coming off a three-game road trip, as the return to home has found their backers getting hammered to the tune of 1-8 ATS.

Hallelujah! Somebody say Amen!

I just put one unit on each game on there.

Whenever I see someone post a "system" they are extremely confident in I almost always run away. Mistermj's is the exception.

So I'm putting some light cash on the opposite situation; a system that the originator believes will fail. If I lose, oh well. If I win, I get to act like I knew it was going to happen all along. :toast:

I am filing this in the "bad idea" folder. 1-3 so far.

If you have a real system, it appears to correlate negatively to winning. So fading your system may not be such a bad idea.

Me too. It is actually 1-2 right now. I counted my small play on Georgetown as a loss in your system when, in fact, it was not.

This system actually may break even. The Wash. St. line is looking good right now along with Austin Peay.

Pacific is a definite loss.

this sport is a joke...-1300 pacific and they are loosing by 20pts. Did their football team step off the bus instead of the basketball one.??

I am not big on CBB betting. I believe I will steer clear of it in the near future. Around March Madness and Conference Tourneys, I may return, but until then I will wait.

Right now, disaster has been averted with the two wins. At worst, I lose three units. It looks like I'll probably end up +1 or -1. If that happens it will have been worth it as it was fun watching.

crazy-

Before you dismiss it, track it for a bit and see how it does. I applied the same thing to NBA and it is doing well. I started 'offiially' tracking the record here a few days ago. You can look back to see if your system would have had the same/similar plays in NBA. http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?p=6349354&posted=1#post6349354

Plus, I can post every play that was part of the 35-8-1 record over. Now trust me, I did not bet them all. I certainly tested it for a bit first. But I played every play the last 2 days for 11-4 record. Certainly today is going to be the worst day yet. While we had 6 plays in common, we also had 3 plays not in common. 6 of 9 on a 41 game day is more than a coincidence. I hope you can see why I was shocked when I originally saw your post this afternoon.

Lets close this baby out with a few more W's.:toast:

Cool jackal Ill take a look at it with nba but for cbb there is to many games and it would take too much of my time. If you post the plays i will give a look though. Maybe ill do it also once a week just to see we get the same games (you u'm sure do a more thorou job aswell since you atleast know the teams involved)

That is why I have it in a spreadsheet. Downloads data automatically form the web. Updates in seconds. That is why I have my leans up for NBA for tomorrow already. Only 5 CBB games tomorrow. My lean is Yale. SF would be second. What do you have?

jackal you only use statfox?

No, I use 4 different lines and then correlate them to narrow down the field. There were 29 plays last weekend alone and that is way too many. Even though they went 24-4-1, one bad weekend and your bankroll is shot. (totals are a different story, they are 21-9 not counting tonight). So I applied a filter by cross referencing the 4 dofferent lines to get my final plays. Tonight there were 8 which is still plenty. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw that you had 6 of the same exact plays.

Nice info. So is this your 'system' or did you find this after the fact? definitely can use this to adjust weighting over time based on hot and cold streaks. They don't set thresholds or filter games which is another way to look for an edge.

i found that when you mentioned the power ratings. I actually read all the previwes in sportsnetwork.com and they give a prediction score. I took note of them and then eliminated plays by comparing the defenses of the two teams.I dont like playing teams that have a defence for worst than teir opponent. those were the best ones that came out. But now im thinking that their score predictions is based on some sort of pr system
