Pele

Played in 4 World Cups and won 3 of them.

Considering it's held every 4 years, it's tough to do.

Imagine how good you have to be when you're 15 and 16 to play (and start) for Brazil (not some shit team) when you're 17.

impressive ones in here but I have to go with:

- 7 by lance
- 56

other ones I like:
- 17-0 (1972) (shorter season, but not their fault)
- Phelps 8 gold (lots of team comps and variations of the same thing weaken it for me)
- Tiger slam (the fact we had to rename it cause tiger couldn't do a grand slam weakens it for me)

(all time pitching wins is impressive but I can't find it too impressive because no one pitches as many games as they did back then...kind of like wilt's 100....different era, hard to compare)

Wilt the Stilt has another record that'll never be broken...55 boards in one game. Granted, he did it because he was so much taller than everyone else at the time, but still...

I don't know who is the closest second, but I'd be surprised if anyone in the modern era has even half of that.
