Trainer Bob Baffert has been blazing hot right out of the gate at Santa Anita and sends two of his charges into this race. GALLARDO has a seasoning edge after his jog on 3 Dec at Hollywood, but neither of Baffert’s entries should be easily dismissed. GALLARDO closed strongly in his last and will likely be far closer to the lead this time around with the better starting post and equipment change.
