The importance of video tape?

My question to the forum:

How important is the analysis of video tape when selecting a certain side?

Personally, I believe video tape is just as important as money management. I have compiled well over 500 games on college football and basketball.

I was wondering what the forums opinion was on video tape analysis.

I'd say you're wasting your time, because when you see a team play really well on TV, you tend to let that great performance you hinder yourself from being unbiased the following week...A team is never as good or as bad as their last game...
