The film serves as a satire on the political divide of the American left & right .the film was supposed to be released in 2019 but due to the shootings in Dayton , oh & else Paso , tx they decided to shelve it . In the film ' the elites' refer to the hunted as 'deplorables' ...... an illusion to the phrase ' basket of deplorables' used used by Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential run .
