There are white hats and black hats in these agencies. Not everything is at it seems, not unlike the Ukraine war as it was originally presented to the public.
For example, Durham is obviously a white hat. But there are other ongoing investigations the public simply doesn't know about...yet. Someone sent me a breakdown of all the current sealed indictments compared to historical averages (these Digital Soldiers, eh?) and the number was quite simply off the charts.
That's how law enforcement takes down organized crime. You have many witnesses within the organization in the lower and higher ranks cooperating until one day everything is unsealed at once and the entire criminal syndicate collapses - BOOM!
