This was a great pick, IMO. Over was pounded and easy. Only thing was that the #1 seed Goffin lost and Paire somehow flipped the switch and became a very good player... in that tournament and won the whole thing (1st title). He also went on to play amazing in his next tournament but fatigue caught up with him. That could not have been foreseen in any fashion. Maybe somewhat akin to Gulbis flipping a switch and doing the exact same thing. But a loss is a loss.

Canada had a shot to cover this, but would've needed perfection at the end. This was not the 'right side'. Argentina did it's usual schizophrenic routine result.... they lost to the team that got last place in the tourney, yet they played great at the end of the tourney and almost beat the team that finished #2 in the tourney.

They always do this for some reason. They can beat the best team by 15 points in an incredible result, then in the next game they'll play the last place team and lose by 5 as a -10.5 favorite. One always has to exercise such caution with Argentina. And I love Argentina, but they always do this.

This has a very good chance at winning. Spain was blasting France by 17 at HT when they played a few days ago. In no way France wins this by 11 or more, IMO. STL won 1,000 games in a row. Haven't allowed a run in something like 31 innings. KC blah blah blah.
