Another reason I like Larry Fitzgerald from Pitt. Just hands the ball to the ref when he scores.

If he catches in the middle of the field, still hands ball to ref and hustles back to the huddle, taught by coaches to maintain momentum. Great idea, IMO.

Best celebration was Anthony Davis, when he scored 6 touchdowns vs Notredame in 1974, he was crawling on his knees as the Trojan Alumni was throwing silver dollars at AD, after he returned a Kickoff 102 yds.

I got to admit there's a little hot dog in me as I enjoy the celebrations unless I have a ticket on the other side. Loved the sharpie, liked the phone, liked it when Whiteshoes did the Rocky on the goal post, hell I even liked the Sapp duck thing he did. Looked stupid as hell but made me laugh.

Enough gray in the world already for me, let's show some passion once in a while.

Am waiting for one of these guys to "accidently" straddle a cheerleader after a TD. That would be the best.

I liked it when T.O took the pom-poms from the cheerleader and started doing his own cheer. Also when he put the football on the ground, put one foot on top and flexed his muscles, like he was hercules. There was one this year I forgot who it was. The guy intercepted the football and ran it for a touchdown. He then got on his knees and put his hands behind his back as if he was arrested for stealing.

Though...........

Joe Starkey, the Cal football announcer then gave one of the greatest calls in sports history. Here it is:

Alright here we go with the kick-off. Harmon will probably try to squib it and he does. Ball comes loose and the Bears have to get out of bounds. Rogers along the sideline, another one... they're still in deep trouble at midfield, they tried to do a couple of... the ball is still loose as they get it to Rogers. They get it back to the 30, they're down to the 20... Oh the band is out on the field!! He's gonna go into the endzone!!! He got into the endzone!!

Will it count? The Bears have scored but the bands are out on the field. There were flags all over the place. Wait and see what happens; we don't know who won the game. There are flags on the field. We have to see whether or not the flags are against Stanford or Cal. The Bears may have made some illegal laterals. It could be that it won't count. The Bears, believe it or not, took it all the way into the endzone. If the penalty is against Stanford, California would win the game. If it is not, the game is over and Stanford has won. We've heard no decision yet. Everybody is milling around on the FIELD!!! AND THE BEARS!!! THE BEARS HAVE WON!!! THE BEARS HAVE WON!!! Oh my God, the most amazing, sensational, traumatic, heart rending... exciting thrilling finish in the history of college football! California has won... the Big Game...over Stanford.

Oh excuse me for my voice, but I have never, never seen anything like it in the history of I have ever seen any game in my life! The Bears have won it! There will be no extra point! Hold it right here, don't anybody go away....

The Cal Bears returned the ball 57 yards thanks to 5 laterals and the Stanford band. The image of Kevin Moen crashing into a Stanford band member in the end zone is a justly famous capper to this incredible game. Final score: Cal 25, Stanford 20.

There was a wide receiver that played for the Seattle Seahawks when Zorn was pitching it. When he scored, he would spike the ball with a full wind-up and every single time the ball would bounce straight up in the air and that sucker bounced high.

BTW...........it wasn't Largent. Who was that dude ?

I think the Drew Pearson - Butch Johnson dance was the California Quake or something to that effect. One of those two stopped doing any celebration after tearing up a knee doing the dance. Good argument for not acting like an idiot after scoring.

One that sticks out in my mind from years ago was when the Washington Redskins would have 5 guys doing the high-five at that same time.

The one that I used to like was a TE from San Diego or Atlanta. When he scored, he would grab the ball, act like it was a beer by opening it up and taking a drink. I always enjoyed Icky Woods dance as well.

Any Eagles fans out there?

It was a long time back, but I think it was era of Harold Carmichael, those guys would from a little huddle in the end zone and would guy would kneel down and shake hands and pretend to roll dice to signify "Lucky Seven".
