Maybe they go 8 yards on a PAT because it's so close and just for extra protection from being blocked. It was always at the 2, didn't they kick from the 10? Maybe 8 is the most preferred distance but they go 7 on field goals to shorten the distance of the kick? I dunno.

If the regular season gets called this way it will fundamentally change the game.

I think they are going too far trying to create offense. They have a good product that they should leave alone.
