What Dempster did last night was a joke and he should've been ejected. I don't like A-Rod, just like the next guy, but off the field stuff should not influence whether a player gets intentionally hit by an opposing pitcher. It wasn't Dempster's place to do that.

If he wants to send a message, fine, hit him the first pitch. He went over the line throwing at him 4 times. The umpire should have warned Dempster after the FIRST pitch. It was complete BS that he warned both benches after the 4th.

The fact that they didn't retaliate is just further proof that the Yankees organization continues to be a class act, and Sox are always going to be bush league.

I agree that throwing at him all 4 times was too much. If you don't hit'em the first time than you lost your chance.

But the Yankees showed their true colors of how they feel about this guy. No pitcher after that wanted to retaliate. It had nothing to do with being a class organization. They felt no need to stand up for this guy. If it was Jeter you damn right they would have hit Pedi/Papi...
