Goood matchup in the Big 12 tonight as Texas travels to Missouri to take on the Tigers.

Texas has been playing excellent ball since they got rocked by Duke one month ago today. Since then they have ripped off 6 straight wins including a road win at Providence (RPI 13) and an impressive home victory over previously undefeated Wake Forest (RPI 24).

Texas is a deep team that wears down weaker opponents. Texas plays 11 deep. Texas can kill you from the inside and outside. This is a team with a handfull of seniors and a nice bucnch of youngsters who have played terrific. Leading the charge of diaper dandies is PJ Tucker who has been a complete surprise for Texas (14 pts/8 boards). This kid has been a manchild for the Horns and reminds me of a young Barkley -- undersized for his position but a heart of a champion. He has actually send all Big 12 performer James Thomas to the bench during critical parts of the game.

Texas perimiter game has been solid all year with consistant shooting from Mouton, Boddicker (44% 3 pt) and Baylor Transfer Kenny Thomas (42% 3 pt).

Texas has owned Missou since Quin took over the program.

Missouri has to be the most disappointing team in the country so far. The pre-season selection by the coaches to win the Big 12 this team has fallen flat. At 7-6 this team is actually worse then their record would indicate. They have lost to powerhouse Belmont (in Missouri), and squeaked out victories over Oakland, Coppin State, Texas AM to name a few. To be blunt this team sucks.

I've heard people say this team is back after Saturdays victory over Oklahoma -- I say great you just beat a crap team that has been overrated all season.

To keep it short the Horns have just too much and are too deep to get booted out of Missouri without a win.

So why is the line at -1???

Seems low right? Trap??

I'm thinking Texas also here but why only -1??

I think you forgot to mention texas almost lost to Nebraska...

That is why the line is so "low".

I too lean to Texas but Mizzou is not a bad team. They are every bit as deep as Texas and
as far as the line goes, the Big 12 road is the
reason for the small spot. Look what happened with KU at A&M, OSU at KSU, Tex Tech at Baylor.
There are no easy wins out there. If Mizzou
can win this one they are back on the road to
the NCAA, if they get beat badly at home, it
could be NIT time.

I agree with Mizzou. This teams has a ton of talent. But they have been a mystery. Is it Quinn coaching ability?
I think they are a good team to lay off of for know. They could easily beat texas tonight at home But I will lay off for now.
It is getting to be now or never for the tigers if the hope to go to the tourney.
