Why would you fire him? A ton of wvu fans wanted him after rod left...that coaching tree is slow to make adjustments. Seems very stubborn...but it does seem like he rode Brian Kelly coattail for awhile using all his players...

Because his coaching Iisis at the level of a mental retard. Great recruiter, nice guy,good salesman but he does not understand how the clock works. Down and distance. When to go for 2. Seriously. I'm not just an upset fan. He just either cracks under pressure or does not understand the basic end game fundamentals. I've never seen a coach so incompetent in any sport even at the high school level with basic game management

Here is the gist of this at Texas. They won't fire Strong as of now, since no one is really available to get rid of him. Texas really needs an AD first, and we all know that any deal can happen if they hire the right AD.
