unless there are significant changes in the computer polls...by my math

Texas: .8476
Cal: .8377

Cal will have to leapfrog utah in 4 computers to make it, or change places with Texas in 2.

What people fail to realize is that an at large bid is exactly that: AT LARGE!!!

Means the bowl can take either tex. or cal. rankings do not guarantee a spot in this scenerio; excluding (utah--mid-major conf. auto 6 ranking). As a matter of fact the bowl could take ga.

And god forbid if notre dame ranked in top 12; they would take them instead!

sam,
Are you sure about that. I thought the bowls could take whoever they wanted also but the way they are talking on ESPN it sounds like the rose bowl has to take the #4 team, that it doesn't have a choice.

Holiday Bowl traditionally the dog usually covers in a high scoring game. Cal probably won't be too enthused to be there. What a shame, 10-1, with the one loss being to #1 USC on the road, and they're rewarded a second-tier game like the Holiday Bowl. :icon_conf

Always seems like one team in the Holiday bowl is very upset and ends up losing or at least not covering ATS.

If the line is high you have to go with Texas Tech.

I feel bad for Cal. They will play uninspired football, just like Texas did. I am playing TTech ML, not b/c I have anthing against Cal, but I think the emotional element is a huge factor here.
