The Aggies are coming off of their bye week but proved to be a tough out for Alabama in their last performance as they hung with the Tide throughout the evening but ultimately bowed, 24-20, in Tuscaloosa. The news wasn’t all bad for A&M fans as they easily cashed as 24-point road dogs.
South Carolina is also coming off of a bye but their last effort proved to be a winning one as the Gamecocks scored a mild 24-14 upset of SEC rival Kentucky as four-point road dogs. MarShawn Lloyd had 110 rushing yards and a touchdown while Spencer Rattler was held to just 177 yards through the air, one touchdown, and one pick.
The oddsmakers have installed the Aggies as three-point road favorites and I still believe that’s fairly reasonable. Jimbo Fisher’s squad has underperformed throughout the season but the defense looked like it turned a corner against Bama in their last contest. I believe the Gamecocks’ offense will find it hard to get cooking against the Aggies in this one so I am betting on Texas A&M to cover the number with ease.
