Watched the whole match and lleyton showed great heart never giving up despite being down 2 sets and 3-5.
Federer's error rate increased as the match progressed.
Hewitt was playing far too tentatively in the 1st half of the match.

In the end lleyton won 158 points to 156 despite being behind by some 25 points mid match.

In retrospect would say this match should have been pk or lleyton a slight fave.

i wasn't on this as I thought it too close to call, I would not take +110 hewitt again if the match was replayed.

On current form Federer is better though he has been suffering "new major winner" syndrome. There are big question marks over Hewitt's desire to stay on tour for the next x years.

Both players have strong Davis Cup records so don't have a problem playing their hearts out for no hard cash, unlike for example most of the Argentinian team.

I thought the general line in this was pretty efficient, would be interested in why anyone thought otherwise.

Federer had played an emotional 5 set doubles match the day before and lost, and knew in the back of his mind, even if he won, no way Kratchovil would beat Flip in the deciding match anyway, also no way Hewitt was going to lay down being down 2 sets at home, like he did vs JC Ferrero at the Open.
