Im giving Fernando Gonzalez a real good chance of beating Tomas Berdych tomorrow in Madrid. Berdych is just about due for a loss after wining 3 matches in a row, and I think that he might be a little flat after getting up for two great results in the past two days against Roddick and Nadal.

He could be ripe to hit a flat spot against Gonzalez who leads him 2-0 head to head ( both wins coming in the past year and one on this surface ) and who is looking more and more comfortable on the faster surfaces, having won 6 of 7 matches ( including one walkover ) on this surface in the past 10 days.

I think Gonzalez is great value as the +144 dog ( Pinny ), and an even stronger play would be to bet against Berdych winning in straight sets.

Good luck

That line seems a bit off to this rookie. Almost like the books want you to take Gonzalez. That's exactly what I did. We'll see how it plays out.

Im a little surprised to at what seems to be good value that the books are willing to share with us about Gonzalez. They wouldnt be trying to trick us now would they?

Good luck to you to Presto

another factor in Fernando's favor today will be the crowd support. It MAY be bordering on 'severe'.

Berdych showed his immaturity in yesdertady terrific win over hometown hero Nadal. The fans at Madrid, this entire week, have not been 'good', or anywhere remotely 'fair'. They were booing Berdych for anything yesterday (because he was playing Nadal and winning). At the end of the match, Berdych put his finger to his lips as to say 'shhhh', or as to say STFU now you fools. The fans booed even more, Nadal had choice words regarding this. The incident was caught by Spanish t.v and played no doubt in the highlights.

wonder how Tomas will handle this? how bad will the crowds be today agasin thim?

Got to love it when your selection wins the first set when youve bet against the favourite winning in straight sets.

By no means is this an early cheer, just a quick pat on the back for getting one selection right thus far.

Berdych finally does the right thing by me and bites the dust. Love that dog money. Hope all who followed me in have a great weekend.
