All it means is they won't be running many options to the right. I don't know how they are going to play coming out of that Baylor game, but just a hunch that they are going to kick some arse.

GS do you know why the K St vs OU game was not on the board for the first couple of days?

UPDATE (2:17 p.m.): It appears we have made a mistake.
This morning, I (Jamie) received word from one of our writers that Trevone Boykin had wrist surgery and was out for 4-6 weeks. As he worked to confirm this with his sources, I made multiple attempts to reach out to TCU's SID Mark Cohen for confirmation/comment.

I then received word that my writer had confirmed with multiple sources that the story was legitimate, I made the call to publish the article.
As of now, it appears that a trick had been played on the multiple sources relaying information to our writer.
As the Managing Editor of Frogs O' War, I want to issue a sincere apology to TCU, Trevone Boykin, and the college football community. Frogs O' War prides itself on relaying accurate information to the public and in this instance, we have failed.

I was a little suspicious of this story in the first place. Patterson is the kind of dude that isn't going to tell you squat before they play you. Boykin could have broken both of his legs and Patterson would have said that they would have backup QB Joeckel ready just in case...

Frogs O' War has just received confirmation that TCU's starting quarterback Trevone Boykin will be out 4-6 weeks after having surgery to repair a wrist injury earlier today.

Frogs O' War has learned that TCU starting quarterback Trevone Boykin underwent surgery on Monday evening to repair his left wrist, and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
Sources confirmed to Frogs O' War writer tylervr11 earlier today that Boykin underwent surgery to repair an injury to his left wrist.

Matt Joeckel will likely start in Boykin's place.
It's unclear exactly when Boykin suffered the injury, but it seems to have happened near the end of the game this past Saturday against Baylor. Boykin completed a season-low 44% of his passes against Baylor, but still helped lead TCU's offense to 51 points and 485 total yards in the loss. In the 4th quarter, Boykin completed only 3-of-10 passes for 21 yards, and his accuracy looked to be off.
On the season, Boykin had completed 57.7% of his passes for 1,463 yards and 11 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He had also rushed for 305 yards and three touchdowns. His passing totals had already eclipsed his stats from 2013, when he found himself splitting time with Casey Pachall.
The junior from Dallas had beaten out senior transfer Matt Joeckel during August camp for the starting job.
Falling into that 4-6 week timeline are games against Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, at West Virginia, Kansas State and at Kansas.
TCU Sports Information Director Mark Cohen was not immediately available for comment.
We'll continue to update you as we learn more.
