out 4th $1000, I lost both my all ins at the final table. 99 vs Q2 and AQ vs A9, should have gotten first or 2nd easily. I actually lost all 4 of my all ins during the entire tourney where I didn't have the opponent drawing basically dead. 2 were coinflips though, but the those 2 at the final table were pretty gay.

The main event is $10k. I played in a $1500 event at teh WSOP and will probably play in a couple smaller ones this year too.

okay...i thought it was Matt24...went to watch you play at a table and you called an all-in on a flush draw....i was going to question how you fare so well in these tourneys....

i play quite a bit and do farely well but feel like my game is missing "something"....i'm a very patient player but think i respect my opponents a bit too much after the flop...

any suggestions?

calling an all in with a flush draw is usually correct in most situations in tourneys. With chips in the pot preflop and whatever went in on the flop, when its back to you, you are usually getting correct odds, espcially if you have 2 overcards which you think are live. For example a flush draw with just one overcard(3 outs) is a coinflip.

I'd say you need to be more aggressive and take more risks.

well it was a one table tourney.....K on the board.....

Matt24 had AQ (other guy had AK)...i thought the preflop call was a bit loose on a reraise (off of someone else's raise)......flop saw a bet, and matt24 got reraised.....on the turn...just moved all in.

I would like to congratulate you for your success Matt24. Also, I have a question for you. I have been playing poker in live games quite a bit, more for the fun then the money (I mean its nice to make money and I do not quite "dead money" but I do not play high limits or anything). I was thinking of starting to play online poker and was wondering what site you would recommend?

depends on what you want to play, but Party probably, they have the most games. If you want to do more tourneys, try Stars.

I have no idea what your bankroll is, but they have a lot of $1 rebuy, $3 rebuy tourneys that attract a lot of players. Never played so not sure what they are to win, but I'd say its decent for the investment/risk.

I am thinking of opening the account with just $500-1000 and try to go from there. I am mainly a hold'em player; any thoughts on what tables limits I should play at? Either no limit or pot limit, doesn't really matter to me. I also enjoy playing in tournaments but I play in ring games much more often.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
