Its UnAmerican to not be able to bet on yourself.

Anyone can talk about winning a fight but the most confidant will bet on themselves.

Just like fans of a sporting event who blah blah blah about how their team is going to win......if you are so sure then put up your money on it.

Totally agree...in any sport the players are already expected to be trying to win anyways and in fact by even participating they are already trying to win and get better contracts from their performances so letting them bet on themselves to win is consistent with the spirit of the competition...
