MICHIGAN ST -4.5

This is the first of a 3 game road trip for Purdue, after the trip to East Lansing, they head to Minnesota and then to Wisconsin, Purdue might be a good fade for this entire road trip. They will likely be favored by a couple @ Minnesota and I don't see them winning up there. Purdue is currently 6-5 in the Big 10 and 16-8 overall. Thier tourney resume is pretty weak even though they beat Duke.(RPI in the 70s/80s, SOS 80s) and they have 3 bad losses(RPI +100). Basically Purdue must have one of these games to have a shot at a winning big 10 record and a postseason birth. They just aren't going to get it done, the team loaded with seniors has faced tough adversity(losing booker for the season(who was a force) and losing Lowe for a few games)

Michigan St is one of the best shooting teams in all the land, Purdue does get up and get in your face, but Michigan St has the inside game with Davis as well. Michigan St is poised to make a run and loaded with talent, talent that Purdue cannot counter. Giving 4.5 in this situation is a complete gift, I see a 10-15 pt victory, unless Purdue gets hot and Purdue doesnt shoot it well. IU held them down but the first half foulfest enabled Purdue to shoot 20 or so free throws in the first half and hold a 20 pt advantage from the line.

Michigan St did struggle last time out at home vs Minnesota, but bounced back in the 2nd half and outscored Minnesota by around 20. Michigan St is superior to Purdue in all areas. Ivan Kartelo is also still feeling the effects from his injury, he played vs IU but looked to be in pain a lot.

SAN DIEGO ST 1st HALF

Havent bet this yet, it is sitting at 2.5, see if i can get 3, it will probably go to 2 though. The last 3 road games for San Diego St have been somewhat interesting. Last time out at BYU they were down 1 at the half, then actually did play well in the 2nd half before losing in overtime by 14.

Next game @ Utah, at the half they were up 3, only to lose by 7. The game before that they were @ Wyoming, they were up 1 at the half, only to lose by 8. And the road game before that they were down 2 at the half, ended up going to double overtime and losing by 10. So eventually SDS finds a way to start sucking, so hopefully it wont start til past the 20 minute mark.

This team has played some quality teams and has a couple decent wins @ Ohio St and vs Iowa St both by double digits. Theyve had respectable losses to Dayton, Texas Tech, and Arizona.

I'm not a trend better by any means, but I'll take a shot here.

matt,

You might want to look at a thread started yesterday by me on Missouri. Green Doberman and others gave some very good information on UNLV. It might be helpful for you if you like San Diego St. tomorrow. Best of luck.

early saturday leans. These lines are from nss.net or something like that and sometimes they are up to 3 pts off, but anyway.

Nova +10 @ Seton Hall
Mizzou -9 @ Baylor
Notre Dame +16 @ UConn
Ohio St +11 @ Indiana
Kentucky -2.5 @ Auburn
Minnesota +6 vs Purdue
Temple +14 nuetral vs St. Josephs

5 roadies, home dog, and a neutral battle. Love the Gophers +6, that is definately the top play out of those, but I don't think we'll see six unless Purdue blows MSU out of the water tonight.

Just curious but it seems that you play a lot of Indiana teams except for Purdue. Any bias there?

Nope, if you notice my thread, I plan on playing Ohio St saturday over IU. 2 years ago, i went something like 21-2 betting on Indiana games. I even had the ML when wisconsin beat them, I knew Jeffries was out, Vegas didnt.

I dont dislike Purdue, I root them on in nonconference and root them on in the tourney. This team still seems to be getting a lot of undeserved respect from linesmakers though IMO. They arent the same team that beat Duke, Booker is gone, and Kartelo is hurting badly. Purdue will probably be a play later this season when they host Iowa.

I play on or against Indiana teams more because I know them and have more plays on them. I rarily play a West Coast team, because I have not seen the teams play very often.

Insight is appreciated just didn't know if you went against Purdue being a big Iu fan. Most of the time I try to stay away from Missouri and Purdue who are the teams I know the best as sometimes don't know if my bias comes into play. Best of luck.

I feel my best bets are on Indiana and Cincinnati Bengal games. I don't know if you followed my threads in the NFL(I did not bet often) but I went 4-1 or 5-1 on Bengal games this year. I think most people around here who have been betting for a while probably are able to notice the value the greatest in the teams they watch every game, and knowing other tidbits.

Louisville was 5/28 in the 1st half, I think they may do a little better this half.

Well I guess Lville wont do any better in the 2nd half, glad taht bet is 25% of my MSU bet and 50% of my SDS bet. GO MSU, I see a last 20 second cover for Purdue coming.
