CrazyPicks - Records and Picks

Detroit Red Wings -0.5 (+100) * 2 UNITS *
Detroit currently seats 3rd in the Mighty West with 53 pts (22-9-7-1 record) against the newly rejuvinated Blackhawks' team (19-13-7-0 record). The Red Wings suffered their first lost in the Motor City just a couple days ago to Pheonix after posting an unbeaten 9 game streak. The Wings are impressive 6-1-3 in their last 10 games . Nonetheless, the Blackhawks too are on FIRE posting a 5-0-3 record in their last 8 games. The Blackhawks have lost just once in 13 games (8-1-4). Furthermore, the Hawks are 12-5-2-0 at home, and the Red Wings are 8-5-4-0 on the road this year. Amazing! Two HOT teams going to battle against each other... However, how can one go against the Defending Stanley Cup Champs? Detroit to win? Very Possible, if any team can end the Hawks streak definitely the team from Detroit has a great shot at doing so... The Blackhawks tied last night 3-3 with Nashville, and will have to play back-to-back against the Champs, which will be a mighty task. Thibault should get the start against Cujo. And I'll back up the Wings in this one!

Philadelphia at Atlanta (over/under)
Under +5.5 (-120)

The Flyers this season are 28-10 on the UNDER, while more importantly posting a 7-2 UNDER record in their last 9 games on the road. This season the game between the Flyers and the Thrashers resulted in a combined goals scored of only 4 (3-1 Flyers win), which should be a very similar affair between these two teams come Sunday afternoon. The Flyers have been UNDER the posted total in 9 of their last 10 games. While similarly the Thrashers are 3-1 on the UNDER in their last 4 games ( 7-3 on the UNDER in their last 10 games). On the afternoon, I expect both Czechmanek and Dafoe to provide solid goaltending between the pipes.
