NFL : 2* TENN/IND OVER

I regret having never ventured out to the GA Dome to catch the Oilers/Titans against the Falcons and missing a chance at seeing Steve McNair play football. The pivot from Alcorn St. has mentioned and given a chance to back off the statement, reemphasized the fact that he is seriously considering retirement at the end of the season.

McNair has been beaten up again this season and today it will be Billy Volek under center for Tennessee. The former Fresno St. Bulldog has played in 5 games this season completing nearly 61% of his passes for 1013 yards and 6 TD. Volek has a couple of decent targets in Derrick Mason (833 yards, 5 TD) and Drew Bennett (654 yards, 2 TD). Chris Brown would be a help but remains a (?) with turf toe.

The Colts have averaged 39 PPG over their last 5 and have a shot at getting close to this total on their own. Peyton Manning is having a year to put it mildly completing 67.3% of his passes (#2) for 3196 yards (#2) and of course 41 TD (#1)! Edgerrin James has reestablished himself at the top of the NFL RB food chain with 1186 yards rushing and 6 TD.

Manning has made the most of his triple-receiving attack hitting Reggie Wayne for 779 yards and 9 TD. His favorite target Marvin Harrison has 764 yards with 11 TD and slot receiver Brandon Stokley has also topped 700 yards while scoring 8 times.
