Rolling' Lions beat Colts, are 10-1 for 1st time since 1934.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Ninety years ago, former NFL owner George A. Richards purchased the Portsmouth Spartans, moving the franchise to Detroit as the Lions and they would get off to a sweltering 10-1 start in that first season.
On the road Sunday at Indianapolis, coach Dan Campbell helped the team hit a feat that hasn't happened since 1934, a 10-1 start after beating the Colts 24-6, but he wasn't too caught up in the moment.
We're so locked in on the here and now that it's hard," Campbell said. "It's a little bit like last year -- you get through it and maybe you can take a breath to turn around and look behind you and see what you did, but right now, we're just going. We're rolling."
Campbell acknowledged history but was more impressed with his team's unbeaten road streak. The Lions are the NFL's last undefeated road team (6-0) this season, which is a testament to the franchise's turnaround since Campbell's arrival in 2021.
The Lions finished 3-13-1 in 2021, then improved to 9-8 in 2022 before finishing 12-5 last season with an NFC Championship Game appearance.
Following Sunday's win, the Lions are officially the first NFC team to reach 10 wins this season, the first time the franchise has accomplished that.
"It gave me a flashback to 2022 and at that point we were 0-11-1 on the road. And just thinking about that and now I think we're 16-5 since then and just that group of guys," Campbell said. "I said something in the locker room about it. I'm looking at Frank [Ragnow] and [Jared] Goff and Deck [Taylor Decker] and [Penei] Sewell, Alim [McNeill] and Saint [Amon-Ra St. Brown], and it's like, 'Man, you remember that?'
"But all of those guys are responsible for the flip," he said. "It says a lot. If you can win on the road, you're normally a pretty good damn team and we can win on the road."
The Lions also captured their ninth consecutive victory of the regular season with the win. The only other time they've had a nine-game win streak was also in 1934, when they won 10 in a row, per ESPN Research.
"We are road warriors. We love it," said Lions quarterback Goff, who finished 26-for-36 with 269 passing yards. "We come together on the road, and we have an us-against-the-world mentality and it's fun when we can get our own fans here. The way they show out, it's really unbelievable. They do a hell of a job."
While the offense has dominated headlines, the defense has also shined under defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. Detroit hasn't allowed a touchdown in 10 straight quarters as the defenders continue to hold each other accountable in moments of victory and defeat.
For the third game this season, Detroit's defense allowed fewer than 10 points, which is the most in a Lions season since 1983.
We expect to win," Lions nose tackle DJ Reader said. "It's not a feeling where you walk in and you're guessing whether it's going to happen. Guys expect excellence out of themselves and others on our team, so I think that's the best part. Even though you see the score today, we're still out there on each other."
The Lions will shift their focus to the annual Thanksgiving game Thursday, which they haven't won since 2016. Detroit will host the Chicago Bears, a division rival, with the team looking to reach new heights in pursuit of a championship.
"We've got a group of selfless humans," said Lions running back David Montgomery, who scored a second-quarter rushing touchdown. "I call this place 'The Land of Misfit Toys.' You got to a place where people say that you're not good enough or this team is not supposed to be exactly who we are, and we're not proving anybody wrong, but we in the mix to try to prove ourselves right. So, I think that's big."

Saquon Barkley runs for 255 yards as Philadelphia Eagles win.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Saquon Barkley ran for touchdowns of 70 and 72 yards in the second half and finished with a team record 255 yards rushing in the streaking Philadelphia Eagles' seventh consecutive victory, 37-20 over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.
Barkley racked up the ninth-most yards rushing in a game in NFL history largely thanks to his huge TD runs bookending the second half. He sprinted for a 70-yard score on the opening snap of the third quarter, and added another huge run up the middle with 2:44 to play.
Barkley had 302 total yards while becoming the first NFL player with two 70-yard TD runs in a game since Maurice Jones-Drew in 2009. Barkley leads the league with 1,392 yards rushing, including a league-best seven 100-yard rushing games in his seismic first season with Philadelphia.
While averaging 9.8 yards per carry, Barkley obliterated the franchise record of 217 yards rushing by LeSean McCoy in a 2013 game. He also had the biggest rushing performance ever against the Rams, exceeding DeMarco Murray's 253 yards for Dallas in 2011.
A.J. Brown caught six passes for 109 yards and a TD from Jalen Hurts, who threw for 179 yards while NFC East-leading Philadelphia (9-2) surged away in a 24-point second half.
The Eagles improved to 4-0 against the Rams in the Los Angeles area since the franchise returned home, but Philadelphia led just 13-7 at halftime despite dominating both sides of the ball in the second quarter.
Barkley began the third by cutting straight through the heart of L.A.'s defense and down the Eagles' sideline for his ninth rushing TD. It was the second-longest run of the longtime Giants star's seven-year career.
Kyren Williams rushed for a score and Demarcus Robinson caught a TD pass for the Rams (5-6), who lost their second straight home game.
Matthew Stafford passed for 243 yards while getting sacked five times by Philadelphia's top-ranked defense, and Los Angeles couldn't keep up with a Super Bowl contender in the second half of only its second loss in six games. Puka Nacua had nine catches for 117 yards, and Cooper Kupp caught a 27-yard touchdown pass with 1:07 to play.
Barkley had a mere 73 yards rushing in the first half for Philadelphia, which led 13-7 after Hurts hit Brown for a 6-yard score with 1:27 left on a play initially ruled incomplete, but reversed by video review.
Barkley broke open the game and the Rams' defense with his run up the middle to start the third quarter. Los Angeles answered that 70-yard dash with Robinson's short TD catch, his career-best sixth of the season, but Kenneth Gainwell rushed for a 13-yard TD moments later, one play after Barkley's 31-yard catch-and-run on third and long.
The Eagles kept Barkley in the game late with a comfortable lead, apparently in an attempt to surpass his previous career-best of 189 yards rushing -- and he found another gaping hole in the middle of Los Angeles' defense, sprinting away for another score.

Less than 12 hours after the Los Angeles Rams' 37-20 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.

Robinson was reportedly observed driving over 100 mph on the US-101 in Woodland Hills, California when he was pulled over, and according to a news release from the California Highway Patrol officers "observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment" from Robinson.

The arrest came at approximately 5:13 a.m. on Monday morning after the Rams closed their Week 12 game at home against the Eagles.
