The Washington Redskins hung on to beat Philadelphia, 27-22, for a needed road win and snapping a two-game losing streak. The Redskins improved to 7-5-1 and remain firmly alive in the playoff race with Tampa Bay, directly in front of them, playing a late afternoon game. Running back Chris Thompson scored on a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter for the decisive points and then linebacker Ryan Kerrigan had a sack/fumble of quarterback Carson Wentz to end the game. Kerrigan used to force fumbles with regularity, but that was only his second one of the season – it came at the right time.
