(2-4 posted) rough start to the week.

Thought SJSU was an ok game at the end of the first quarter, then they ran off 64 unanswered points. Phew! That sucked.
SFla went in the tank at half time! Ugly.
And what the hell happened to OK State after there first drive?? Stinker!
Oh well, back for some Sunday action...

Kentucky -6 (Louisville).. No Ragone, No John L., No Chance. Gotta take home fav. in this intense rivalry.

Texas -29 (NMSU)... Too many weapons in longhorn country. You have 3 excellent recievers (Roy W, BJ Johnson, Sloan Thomas) and a top rated running back (Cederic Benson), who cares if your Junior QB is making his first carreer start. Texas also has one of the best D's in the nation.
NMSU runs a control the clock type offense with it's six best offensive players back (over 4,200+ yds. last year) from a team that went 7-4. They also have both QB's back as they run a dual QB system.
I simply think the step up in class will be too much for them and Texas seeing all the top schools light up the boards yesterday will try to keep up FLA 65, Miami 50+, Okla 37, USC, GA, etc, etc... You still get a mental edge with voters when you put up "huge" numbers, regardless of the oponent (although they tell you that doesn't matter).
Williams will pad his heisman stats today and the horns will coast to victory.

VA TECH 20.5 (UCF).. The Golden nights are always a threat, and that is the truth. Beamer has made it a point to NOT look past this game. QB play should be sharp for the hokies because if it is not lil' Vick will be in there quick! (you can quote me on that). Heisman hopeful Kevin Jones is back from injury and will no longer have to share time (Lee Suggs last year) as the starting TB.
The Hokie D claims to be faster this year, and I hope that is true. There challenge will be to stop Schneider the top rated QB in the MAC last year. This guy can flat out throw the ball. Problem for UCF is that they might not have the time or a target to throw to. They return only four starters from last year.
I think this could be a dangerous game, but I thought that about SJSU/Fla, and SFla/Bama and look what happened. Big Time programs are off to a good start and I will bet that trend to continue today.
Throw in some special teams magic a few blocked kicks and the Hokies win this by 4 td's.

Playing.
