My projected opening lines before the official opening lines are released
tonite. On tuesday evening each college football season , I come back and
evaluate my projected lines vs. the opening lines (or combined average with
first lines sunday evening) in my EarlyBirds write ups, and see if there are
any discernible discreprencies on these lines vs. the opening/first lines .

Will have Spread Strength Index #s for all teams on Tuesday, which is the Results Vs. Pointspreads
with strength of schedule factors in the equation. With a projected killer schedule ranking kicking
in for this week, USC now looks like they will be very high in this index, and probably in
everyone's mind looks like the clear cut favorite as the national champ as Oklahoma's schedule
strength will dip. Teams like Oregon State and North Carolina are a few of the teams whos schedule
# will be good, and whatever their minus RVP figures will be, just have to figure they play topnotch
opposition. Should we look for a real good reason to go against these guys, looking deeper into the
numbers that come out with their next few games?
Good to see two deposed mentors having success with their cupcake rebuilds. Bobby Ross is more a
friendly general than a tyrant, but he all of a sudden looks like he's got his smallish West Point
recruits playing like Parris Island marines. Mike Price paid a tremendous price for his strip bar
night out (I think Bama didnt like the looks of Dee Snyder sitting on their leader's lap), but
as like at Wazoo, he is all business and football. And to think some insiders feel Gary Nord left
the cupcake covert bare ...
