Week 4 Here We Go!!!
7 Units Washington Redskins -3 +105
It seems that the Joe Gibbs' return just might not be such a big deal this year. A 1-2 SU/ATS start is downright pedestrian after Monday's 21-18 loss to the Cowboys. QB Mark Brunell threw for 325 yards on 25-of-43 passing with two touchdowns for the Redskins, who have lost two straight after winning their season opener over Tampa Bay. Rod Gardner had nine receptions, including two for touchdowns, for 121 yards. RB Clinton Portis rushed 23 times for 94 yards in the loss. Neither team has managed much offense in the opening half, but the Cowboys benefitted from a key penalty to take a four-point lead after two quarters. The Skins didn't manage their time outs very well in the second half. The Redskins have the No. 1 rush defense in the NFL, allowing 47.3 yards per game! The Browns are 18th in the NFL at stopping the run, so Portis should be able to keep the Washington offense balanced. The injury riddled Browns (1-2 SU/ATS) come off an anemic offensive display in losing to the Giants 27-10. QB Jeff Garcia finished 21-of-31 passing for 180 yards, including a three-yard touchdown pass to Quincy Morgan. Garcia also threw one interception and was sacked four times. Cleveland managed just 89 yards in the first half. Cleveland was without running back Lee Suggs (neck stringer), though Suggs will play this week. They also have injuries to cornerbacks Anthony Henry and Daylon McCutcheon. The Redskins are averaging 16 ppg and have three UNDERS while the Browns are averaging 14 ppg and have three UNDERS. Cleveland's defense is allowing 251 yards passing per game (26th in the NFL), so the Redskins will be able to move the ball on the ground and through the air. Overall, don't look for too much scoring, and likely more scoring by the visitors.
Good Luck Today,
