this is just another classic example of the liberalization of the education system. i would know best, i spent the past 10 years in college, and after 2 universities of california, and a cal state school i can tell you that most of the faculty, especially at the university of cals, leaned waaaaayyyyyy to the left. the students, most of whom have no business graduating in the first place, were so consumed with being trendy (first the governator (a liberal republican), then obama)) that the left reeled these weak minds in as fast as they could. as for myself, being a centerist, and very neutral, i could only laugh as i watched these people press their agenda and propaganda on others in the form of essay topics, class discussion and reading assignments. for this very same reason, for my second masters, when i wrote my thesis i slanted it a little to the left. guess what, i passed on my first presentation, with no revisions, which is very rare. what im trying to say is, use this to your favor. when your kid is in trouble, ask the teacher, what would obama do? play the liberalism against the teacher, because as with most liberals, it always works. your kid will be taken care of and you'll have a few good laughs at the teachers expense
