I'm new to this thread as of yesterday...I had a pretty good day in College Football yesterday, going 12-9 and hitting 2 ML DOG Winners including Michigan State at +350. I hope to carry my good fortunes yesterday right on over into today. Good luck to those who get on!
5 UNITS Green Bay -7 over Arizona 5 UNITS
After Green Bay came out and laid an egg the 1st half against the Vikings in Week 1, Favre and company have performed like the offensive juggernaut they are. I think it is extremely safe to presume that if Joey Harrington and the Lions can pass at will against this awful Cardinals defense, then Farve, Ahman Green, and the rest of the Packers offense will do the same and then some. Arizona has looked awful in both of its games so far this year, getting blown out by double digits to a Detroit Lions team that may be lucky to win 5 games this year. Hit this game hard here guys! Lay the points here...easy money!!!!!
4 UNIT: Tennessee over New Orleans -200
To me, this looks like some very easy money today. Adelphia is one of the toughest places in the NFL to play. The Saints were dominated in their only road trip out in Seattle, before they won against the hapless Houston Titans last week at home. Today they go on the road against a Titans team that looked very strong against the Raiders in WEEK 1, and then suffered a bit of a setback on the road last week, getting whalloped at Indianapolis. I look for the Titans to rebound at home in a big way, as this play should prove to be a stress-free 4 UNIT win.
Pittsburgh -4.5 over Cincinatti 3 UNITS
The Steelers main problem this year has been their inability to run the football. Last year, Jerome Bettis ran for 4 touchdowns and had a huge day against the Bengals. Zeroue and Bettis should both be able to run the ball again today, just like last year, which will keep things open for Maddox, Ward, and Burress. The Bengals do look to be much improved this year over last year, but are still a work in progress. Steelers should cover this one pretty much stress free.
Redskins -2 over Giants 3 UNITs
This Redskins team is still not getting the credit they deserve. The betting public has yet to recognize that Spurrier has got these boys playing some good football. The Giants collapsed against the Cowboys last week, and allowed the anemic Dallas offense led by woeful QB Quincy Carter to move the ball at will against them. That doesnt bode well for the Giants, as they will have to stop Coles and Gardner if they want to win this football game. Lay the 2 points....easy home winner here for the Redskins.
Falcons +6 over Buccaneers 2 UNITS
Yes the Buccaneers should come out angry after giving the game away last week against Carolina. That does not justify being 6 point favorite on the road against a tough Atlanta team that has some weapons in spite of Michael Vick's abscence. Doug Johnson has performed adaquately, and Warrick Dunn and T.J. Duckett have both has some success on the ground. Take the points here...everyone is on Tampa Bay, and the line is up to 6 now. Go against the grain and take the 6 points and the Falcons!!!
3 UNIT UNDERDOG MONEY LINE BET:
ST LOUIS +150 OVER SEATTLE 3 UNITS TO WIN 4.5
Marc Bulger's record over the past two years
7-1. Sure Seattle is playing well right now, but mathmatically, I like getting paid a blackjack on a QB who has looked brilliant in losing just one of his last 8 starts. Of course the Seahawks could win this game, but I estimate that the Rams have roughly a 50 percent chance to win this game outright, therefore mathmatically, getting paid 3 to 2 on a 50/50 prop is something the prudent gambler cannot pass up on. Play the ML...Rams +150 over the Hawks!!!!!
San Francisco -7 over Cleveland 4 UNIT
The Niners were beaten by an explosive St. Louis Rams last week in dramatic fashion, and if the WR had simply taken a knee on the last play of regulation so they could have kicked a field goal, you would be looking at a 2-0 team that would be regarded among the strongest in the league. As evidenced by Jamal Lewis' record setting day last week on the ground, the Browns defense is inept at stopping the run. Barlow and Hearst's ability to gain significant yardage on the ground will only open things up for Garcia, Owens, and Streets to stretch the field through the air. Easy money here. Get on this one big guys!
1 UNIT
Lions +4 over Vikings
I am a big Detroit fan, so I should know not to bet on a Lions game, as you never know what is going to happen. Historically though, the Lions do play the Vikings tough at home, and they are just a game shy of .500 at Ford Field since it opened last year. Take the points in this one.
Vikings vs Lions over 47
In their only home game of the year, the Lions put 42 points on the board. If Anquan Boldin and Jeff Blake can torch the Lions secondary, I would say that Culpepper, Moss, and Moe Williams on the ground, will have even more sucess against this suspect Detroit Lion defense. The Chicago Bears were able to move the ball against the Vikings last week, therefore I think the Lion offense should make a good enough showing to put this game over the total of 47.
Good luck to all today!!! Feedback and opinions welcome! Take care guys and again, good luck!
