Good morning all. I am one who likes to come and check out opinions on games I am interested in. Today I notice most of the leans tend to be towards a Ravens cover today. I would appreciate some insight as to why many are on the Ravens. I see the Ravens as average at best and still not able to put up points against a quality opponent. The Chiefs took care of Pittsburgh, a quality AFC opponent, with little problem. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The Running game is a key in this matchup. I think J.Lewis will proof that he's the better rushing back ever. On the other hand, Chiefs have Gonzelas and holmes. But I think ravens will cover this game and win it. Ray Lewis still healthy and Ravens defense are healthy and strong, they will hold the chiefs by scoring. Home Field advantage is a factor too. Playing at home and being a underdog. It should got something going on. Anyway, Ravens is a solid pick for this game.

Thanks for the input. I agree that the Chiefs will get a HEAVY dose of Jamal Lweis today, but the Chiefs are strong in all 3 phases of the game. I don't see how the Ravens put up enough points to outscore KC today.

kc's 1st 2 games were at home in perfect conditions with the home crowd behind them, thier 3rd game was indoors against houston.
this game is outside in less than perfect conditions with ray lewis shadowing a hurt priest holmes.
baltimore 9-0 ats in game 4 last 9 years and 10-0 su in thier 2nd home game of season last 10 years.

It does seem most people are lending the Ravens way. I still like the Chiefs because their defense is better and should beat them in all 3 phases (D is better this year). They have only played one good team and this game should tell us where they stand.

Ravens 19
Chiefs 26

We'll see.

Diablo, wrong, everyone ELSE is leaning on Chiefs, no doubt it is a trap line and public will be all over KC. The people in here recognize this and that along with other reasoning is why alot of us are on Baltimore.... at least that is what I gather, good luck however and have a good day

I agree kb..the public was on the Chiefs and most in the forum on the Ravens..thats why I was a bit concerned as I am on the Chiefs..thanks for the input..i decided to take the Ravens with a small play in the 2nd half to hedge my bet as this game could go either way.

Well, I guess KC proved that they can hang in and play a little defense. I saw plenty of pickers, cappers, and bettors on both sides. KC might be for real, still need a few more games to tell for sure.

the truth is that kc basically got outplayed today.....the rookie qb boller made numerous mistakes, the ravens had 2 td`s called back vis penalty and the game winning k.o. return came on a re-kick after an offsides penalty....the ravens had numerous opportunities to score but had 4 turnovers.....k.c. was getting pushed around in the 4th qtr, but,as we all know, rookie qb`s don`t usually fair well in the nfl....three ints deep in chiefs territory closed the show...

the "40 point" chiefs scored one offensive touchdown.....

i will say this team looks like it has the stars alligned....every bounce, every break, every big penalty went their way....

make no mistake,k.c. is a good club.....but,you also have to have a little good fortune go your way....the chiefs seem to have it....

they are a very good team....but,they were fortunate to get a win today.....if the ravens had a mediocre qb,they win the game....

And that is why KC won...because the Ravens DON'T have a mediocre QB!

I took KC, didn't think Boller could lead the Ravens to victory. Granted, I didn't think Boller was gonna throw 3 INTs in KC territory...but hey, sometimes you get lucky...

I appreciate all the feedback. The fact is this game could have gone either way. I was surprised by the way Baltimore kept KC in check on offense, but felt like maybe a special teams play would determine. Ended up profiting a small amount but felt much better about watching the second half knowing I didn't have as much riding on it. Good luck and thanks again!
