West Virginia +9 @ Maryland
The Mountaneers have had this game marked since last year when the Terps drummed them at home. Huge revenge game here and Maryland really hasn't showed much ability to move the ball this year without Perry, I don't know if he's playing but even if he is, he won't be 100% I can gurantee that. I look for W.v to win this one outright The speard kinda scares me because it's so high, but I think too much emphasis was put on last year's game. I like W.V p;us the points here and to win outright.
UAB @ South Carolina -14
This South Carolina team may not be that good but I can tell you they should be able to beat this Blazer team by a good margin. I live here in the Birmingham area and I think this might be the worst blazer team in a while, the QB Hackney is ok, but way overrated, plus he has no supporting cast, Lou Holtz's Gamecocks should be a little angry after getting stomped by the dawgs last week.
Miss. State -4.5 @ Houston
The bulldogs still looking for the first win of the season should come out hungry here in this spot, Coach Jackie Sherrill is on the hot seat and if they don't pull off a win here, he might not make the trip back from Texas. The Bulldogs have only won like 6 or 7 games in the last 3 seasons. This year's edition has been getting beat through the air on defense, but Houston has a true freshman QB and the Dog D should be able to keep this Cougar team in check, as the offense hasn't had much trouble this year so scoring souldn't be a problem. Take the Dawgs -4.5 on the road here.
Rice @ Texas -30
This game not really at Texas but the crowd in Houston should be all decked out in orange. I normally wouldn't take the Horns here as I feel they have been over-rated for some years now but after last weekend's game they should be ready to start whipping on somebody again. The loss last week affecfted this line alot, I could see Texas 38 to 42 point favorite here, at 30 to 31 I see no problem for them to cover this number. Take an angry Longhorn bunch here.
Arizona State @ Iowa over 55.5
This game should be a shootout as Iowa will run the ball down the Sun Devils throats and A State should have equal success in the air. Iowa won't let up here because this Sun devils squad can score fast but they won't be able too keep I owa out of the endzone either. No defense in this game, take the over. Also, slight lean to Iowa here.
