Are you so naive that you overlook the fact that Texas played Oklahoma on a neutral field and beat Oklahoma 45-35. Also Texas only loss was by 2 points to Texas
Tech and that game was on the road on the last play of the game. Tell Texas how much better Oklahoma is than Texas ! As for USC, please explain how USC can lose by 6 to Oregon State and Penn
State beat Oregon State by 31 points, yet USC is favored by 10 points.

Once many years ago I declared Portland State the true National Champion using your theory of common opponents and who beat who etc.
I believe it went like Portland State beat some team that beat Oregon State who in turn beat OJ Simpson led USC who won the National Championship in 1967. I did it in fun but apparently you are serious that Oklahoma's victory over Texas Tech at home is far more important than Texas beating Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field.

Very easy: Lines are based on drawing equal action on both sides, not who is supposed to win and by how much. When will people figure that out. The public perception of USC has been WAY overrated all season as they failed to cover in 4 of their last 6 games. I love how everyone who thinks USC could or should win a playoff or the title game glosses over the loss to Oregon State or the fact that they beat a medicore at best Arizon team by 7 and Cal by 14 while Florida and Oklahoma were walloping far better teams.

Right now I'm not sure that USC, Texas, Alabama,or perhaps even Utah might prevail in a playoff after the major bowls have been played. 3 more games after the bowls have been played would solve the matter on the field, not in opinions. How many times does the top 2 rated teams in college basketball make it to the final game ? Yes, almost never and that's my point !

thats IF we had a playoff. we dont, so the best two teams right now are going to play for the championship.

shouldn't penn st have a bitch considering they lost by 1 pt on the road? but no one gives them a chance because they play in the big ten.

the bcs more than likely got it right, with the possibility that texas beat okl straight up being the only question.

Play somebody...........anyone!!!

Typically irrational response from BCS supporters and exactly what I pointed out above. Therein lies part of the problem, NO ONE WILL PLAY THOSE TEAMS. You don't think they would LOVE to play a top 10 team? And if they were to find one that was willing to play them, they would never get a home game out of those teams. And, FWIW, Utah went to Michigan (not their fault Michigan stinks), beat Oregon St and beat two top 20 teams in conference (TCU and BYU), which is more than most of the elite teams can say, including Florida, yet they still get the glass ceiling. Yet somehow this sport crowns the most "true champion".

Correction, Florida has beaten 2 top 20 teams, didn't realize UGA was still top 20.

To be fair all games will be played at a neutral site? Would they send a #1 team from the South to the great white North and play football in the winter? I would love to see how good some of these teams play in the cold, snow.

A 8 team BCS playoff with the BCS bowl games as sites would eliminate most of these horrific championship games involving the Little 10 in recent years. They would get exposed in quartefinal game

Maybe, maybe not.

Who are you to be telling me what the line really means ? I've been betting sports long before you were even born ! What a great time to see your post suddenly appear ! It must have something to do with USC ! Did one of the USC greats steal your girlfriend or something ? I told you once before that I have hardly never seen you post something that doesn't have something to do about blasting USC. Go back under your rock and quit responding to any of my posts. See you at the next Bash if you want to talk trash to me ! USC is the favorite because they are usually awesome come bowl time ! Stick that into what remains of your one sided braincells ! USC will kick Penn State's A-s because they are far better ! The public perception that USC is better is because they know that USC is far better.
