I would take this year's Curry over this year's LeBron.

I probably would as well, but it also depends on the rest of the team. If Curry was on Philly, how far would they go? If Lebron was on Philly, they would probably have 6-1 odds to win the championship.

Isaiah, hahah,,, better than curry??, FK NO WAY,,,

Curry is 1000 time ssmarter player, isaiah is a choker,,

I think the consensus of this board is such,,, CURRYs Game Fits PERFECTLY in 2015-16-17 NBA,,,,

the better thread should be,,

If you Took any guard from the past 20 years WHO COULD DO WHAT CURRY does??

1. Allan Iverson

Isiah was a 12 time all star.

Averaged 19.2 pts and 9.3 assist per game in his career.

Four years in a row of 20 or more points and 10 or more assists.

When Jordan played point guard, he scored a triple double in 10 of 11 games.

Jordan is better and should remain better - if Curry wins 5 titles beating teams like SA, OKC and the Cavs then it might be closer - Curry certainly is doing things never seen before - he's driving defenses crazy - one knock on the Bulls was they never played a real team in the playoffs - big show down was John Starks and the Knicks - please don't tell me the Jazz or sonics were remotely anything like LA, SA or the Heat teams

Curry had a great season and deserved the MVP but needs to have 3 or 5 more years for historical assessment.
I'm more interested in who will outplay who in the coming series, Curry or Westbrook. I know few will agree but
but if I were to pick one of the current players to start a team I'd pick Westbrook, I just love the way he plays.

Michael Jordan is the best ever in my opinion. Curry is good player, but he has years ahead to prove himself - we will see.

It's Westbrook so far by a mile!

Curry really has almost NO defensive component to his game. No?

As for Michael..... In addition to his obvious, overpowering offensive powers....... MJ is likely the best defender to ever shit behind a pair of shoes!

Any questions?

This might be one of the few times I agree with you

The playoff scoring averages really put into perspective how preposterous this comparison is.

Jordan's arguably worst playoff series was when he came back from playing baseball and the Bulls lost to the Magic in 1995. He averaged 31ppg (shot 48% and 79% from the line) in that series after sitting out of the NBA for more than a year!

Alternatively, in this current WCF series, Curry is averaging 24ppg, shooting 41% and 86% from the line.

I'll add, in Jordan's early career his nemesis was the bad boy Pistons. Jordan averaged 28.9 ppg and shot 50% in 4 playoff series against them. A very, very good defensive team. The idea that Curry would come anywhere near those numbers against that team with the rules at the time is laughable.

These two stories in the out on Google news today demonstrate the contrast:

[h=1]Stephen Curry in the N.B.A. Finals: Meh[/h]
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, the first unanimous most valuable player in N.B.A. history, found himself on the bench. He was not there to rest, or to recover from an injury, but simply because he was playing poorly and the team needed to try something else to compete.
Curry’s coach, Steve Kerr, tried to cover for his star after the game, claiming he just had something he wanted to talk to Curry about, but Curry left no ambiguity as to the motivation for his benching, which was truly unusual for a player of his prestige.

======

Now to Jordan:

Michael Jordan's greatest NBA Finals moments

Jordan's scoring line for the series: 31, 42, 44, 55, 41 and 33 points. He averaged 8.5 rebounds and six assists per game. Nobody ever played a better all-around Finals, unless it was Jordan himself during one of the other title years.

:):)

Curry is averaging 16ppg in this year's finals....
