Stephen A. Smith Says LeBron James Angered Young NBA Players

Stephen A. Smith explained that young players didn't like how LeBron was talking to them.
LeBron James has been one of the most prominent voices in the NBA for a while now. He is respected by his peers and his work in the community just goes to show how much he cares about those who are less fortunate. This past week, LeBron was a large voice the league as players discussed whether or not to continue with the season in light of the racial injustice happening outside of the NBA bubble. While LeBron originally opted to leave, he changed course and now, games will continue as of Saturday.

However, it is being reported by the likes of Stephen A. Smith that LeBron actually angered some of the younger players in the league. As Smith describes, LeBron talked down to some of the younger players, who felt as though the Los Angeles Lakers superstar was acting as the king of the NBA. Simply put, LeBron's actions rubbed many the wrong way.

Smith's reporting certainly comes as a surprise when you consider LeBron's stature in the league. He has always been highly respected by other players but in this specific instance, it appears as though some may have turned on him.

So far, there have been conflicting reports coming out of the bubble, so it will be interesting to see if any of these attitudes or feelings are reflected out on the court.

I already said this a few days ago, LeBron started to get into this stuff for branding purposes. His version of activism is Kaep in a Nike commercial selling OBJ's jersey. Theirs is marching on the streets. These young guys are into it because they're really about the cause, whether you agree with them or not.

There's no evidence at all that LeBron is respected in the league for his off the court activities. Since his move to LA, every time he opens his mouth about something other than dribbling the ball, his handlers instruct him to walk some comment back. There are plenty of thoughtful and intelligent NBA players and they know what we all do from watching him...he is not very smart and he should keep his mouth shut so more and more people don't discover that he is somewhat challenged.

You're talking the CEO of the biggest company in the world and he's bringing up Emmitt Till with Jacob Blake. Emmitt Till was 65 years ago. Jacob Blake was a criminal and that case obviously has a lot of subjectivity to it.

I think if Biden came out and said "You wanna keep looting and rioting? Might as well put on a MAGA hat while doing it because everyday you do it increases the chances of Trump re-election", he probably decouples the Dems/himself from all that and has a much better chance to win. Would be pretty brilliant as this is the main thing weighing him down right now.

But no way is the DNC going to go against BLM at this point.
