Yeah because Seven Pounds and Pursuit of Happyness were clearly geared toward adolescent males. Do you EVER think before you post? :ohno:

2 movies. otherwise will smith is saving the world with cheesy comedy and special effects with a budget of 500 mill in a typical movie.

but thats what people want. thats why he gets paid 20 mill a film.

they dont want movies that make them think. thats why this star trek movie is so big, because teenage boys like special effects and dont want to think.

special effects, distributor going with the brand name franchise. can smell this shit from a mile away.

we need more se7en's and less terminators, star trek's, ironman's, transporters, twilights, hannah montanas, etc. but thats what you guys want.

this film is another example of how dead the industry is. terminator salvation is another shitty one coming out.

the only blockbuster movie released lately that I enjoyed was dark knight but even that i wouldnt consider the typical movie like this one.

I'm surprised you enjoyed Dark Knight. How about Batman The Beginning?

Terminator Salvation? Is that cuming out soon? Should be good if it is.
The TV series is great.

how can u guys bash gtc for making decent points about the evolution of movies?

One thing thats funny on the forums is when you dont like 1 guys opinions on a few things then all of his opinions are universally grouped as dumb.

good will hunting = really good movie

Saw Star Trek, and thought it was entertaining enough... But I increasingly am bothered by films that are made to essentially start a franchise. Film makers take shortcuts when it comes to plot and character development for the sole purpose of leaving themselves "outs" for the next film.

it's all about studios making money. They want to take a stale franchise and make it big again. And when Batman Begins did so well, that started the trend again.
