Murray you gotta stop that . Not a good decision by Letang - NO WAY

this might be a series changing goal if deflected off Murray and under the bar and in not off and over :aktion033

That NEVER should have happened as Letang has to just dump it . You are killing a penalty up 2-1 in the 3rd period 10 min left !!

Bonino a Bad Bad Man. Hit Thorton in the face witha Hockey Stick.

just a retarded useless penalty away from the play.

'Pens need to keep what they're doing ...and stay out of the box. No dumb penalties.'

Pitt has had no problem containing the The Thornton line-- hell , the Cullen line takes care of them-- pure speed issue as Thornton/Pavelski are slower than molasses . What Pitt can't do is take DUMB PENALTIES. That pp is dangerous. Play the game 5 on 5 Pitt

still can't believe what Letang did.....geez............

Donskoi was a spark plug all game. Hell of a goal.

Kudos to the Sharks. They did make adjustments- played very physical hockey, esp on Crosby, and had the dee very active. Congrats

they were outshot, again, 42-27. They won't out shoot Pitt in any game this series

#1 Given that SJ had never led in the series, I did think the Pens would work some magic and win in OT. Damn if Bonino couldn’t swipe that puck into the big opening…

#2 Letang had a horrible game. That attempt to make something happen on the 4:00 PK instead of just dumping it off the boards allowing the Sharks to tie the game was just idiotic. It sucks that Daley broke his ankle, he’s the anti-Letang.
#2 (b) Murray had some great saves, but that tying goal can't be allowed. Probably his worst goal allowed of the playoffs.

#3 The Pens power play sucks and at this point don’t you have to put the HBK line out there or try something else?

#4 Lots of speculation Malkin is secretly injured. It isn’t clear what he is doing all the time. Perhaps the strategy is to have him pick up the puck and watch 3 of the opposing players drape him so somebody is open, but it hasn’t gone that well so far.

#5 Watching the Pens trying to make the extra pass to create a sweet play is getting maddening (Sullivan talked about this after the game). Shoot the puck at the net! I’m no Badger Bob, but whacking at rebounds or a offensive zone faceoff after a save is better than an intercepted pass that leads to the other team skating out of their zone, right?

:nohead:

Cullen's line has been more effective than Malkin's. I'd be hesistent to press the panic button if i'm Pitt management. That said, they should consider Crosby with Malkin more often. They nearly ended it in OT. A whole different dynamic. I know this- if i'm Shark's management , i'd rather not have those two on the ice at the same time.

certainly full credit to the Sharks. That second period was something. They MUST continue to play very physical , clog the neutral zone, dee help pinch. Keeping Ward on Donskoi/Couture's line is proving genius-- that's SJ's most threatening line when 5 on 5.

for Pitt, bloody hell, you know you're the better team 5 on 5. DO NOT TAKE retarded penalties . SJ's pp is very dangerous. .......ref gave the Sharks a gift with 4 min rather than 2, geez..but still Bonino you cost your team....dagone........
