This antivirus software has taken over my computer called spydawn. I ran spysweeper and it couldnt find it because it showing on my computer as inti spyware. Its making a bunch of internet explorer windows pop up to its home page wanting me to buy it and its really screwing my day up. When it originally happened when I tried logging off of my computer it asked if I was sure because there were others logged on. I think the spysweeper took care of that though. I cant find this in my ad remove programs or anywhere else. I ran a search on my computer for the name spydawn and it came up that it was located in 2 spots. I deleted those 2 spots and its still on the botton right of my computer flashing as a question mark and a box keeps popping up from it telling me i may have spyware. Well no shit I have spyware because they put it on there! I missed a whole day of work over this. Can someone please help me?

Chugg,
You have been hijacked. Well, at least your browser. You need to download a program called hijack-this and run it. Directions are located here . Be sure to read the page including the Intro and quick start before using this. You download the program, run it and post the log it makes to one of the forums listed on that page ( I use Tom Coyote's forum). One of the experts will review your log and make the recommendations on what to remove. Be sure not to remove anything before you post the log file. If you have any ?? or problems post back here and I will try to help.

Someone just posted a solution over on yahoo answers. Appears this is a brand new rogue antispyware program.

Removal guide here:
