no check your stuff. I did and was mildly surprised
Where can you find a price guide without paying for it online? As a kid the old Beckett was all you needed.
And I heard that cards are pretty much worthless from back in the day unless they are graded professionally. Is that true? I'm so behind on the times with this card stuff..
anything from the mid 80's to mid 90s is fairly worthless. just to mass produced. starting in the mid 90s they started offering autographs, game used, serial #ed cards which are what are holding value these days
Correct! Cards from the late 80's to the early 90's, were overproduced, and unless they are graded (PSA or Beckett) they do not have much value. Here's your price guide.

again choose the guy you collect wisely ..
I was talking too some dude who owned a babe ruth .... long story short , some other guy told him " hey let me take the bat & get it appraised by someone " these two guys barely knew each ( still not sure how they knew each other ) so bat owner lets this guy take the bat & doesn't hear from him for a few days , then two weeks , so now he's panicking & the police are called . the police told him " what the hell were you thinking " ... well the guy ( thief ) was eventually found in another state AFTER he had sold the bat for alot of money to brothers . The bat after a judge got involved now belongs / shared by the original owner & the brothers while a lawyer has possession of the bat & can only be sold with both parties agreeing to a price tag
yeah Love .. there's money it for sure now .. old dogs need to learn some new tricks ,, for me its about my personal collection .. but there is some money out there
for guys that have a good eye and can find a niche .. I'm to bust to capitalize on it .. but love my personal collection although its an un-orthodox one compared to most
I chose some good guys. Just the wrong era. McGwire and Bonds galore in some old boxes somewhere. Probably have 200+ cards of each. Rookie cards. All the brands. Topps, Fleer, Donruss. Even got the Topps Traded '86 Bonds. '85 Topps McGwire Olympic card was my prize possession at one time..
Was thinking in the late 90's to early 2000's.. They were/are still in the box. But thought.. Damn. Those guys blew up. Those are gonna really be worth something now. I chose wisely. Haha. Nope. Mass production. Then the steroid thing. Can't believe how much money I blew on all that as a kid. ROI? I doubt even 30 years later I made any money.
