I'm sure this has been discussed before......but it appears most sportsbooks have a rule about only allowing "recreational bettors" Has anyone ever heard of someone not being paid because they were considered a professional bettor? I haven't personally known anyone but I remember stories in magazines years ago about books using that to not pay people. I mean... how much would you have to win for a reputable book to screw you?

yes, some sports books in the past HAVE NOT paid winning bettors because
the bettor won and the book thought the bettor was trying to win.

I don't know about not paying but it's not all that uncommon for books to kick out so-called "sharp" players.

books love losers and with the exception of the few, bigger, and well run books
hate winners. the smart books know how to use information from their
sharper clients to their advantage. the smaller and poorly run books
do not and either severely limit or boot their "sharps". if one is dealing
with a PPH, then one will find that the agent will usually really hate
"wise guys" when/if he discovers them.
