Gotta give me 12 months man...these things move slow.

More importantly did you win on this trip?

LOL, You did say WITHIN the year...

Won, but nothing to write home about.
Had one Great run... and it could have been better. was playing the Bonus on the table which pays 35-1 each on the small & Big, and if you hit both, the Middle Bonus kicks in at 176-1
held the dice for 20 mins and needed Snake eyes to complete it. Hitting numbers left and right, and cashing... but couldn't throw Aces !!
I was pissed... but that's Gambling :)

I love staying at the Mirage...although I've been sucked to Encore the past couple times...the topless pool is not terrible. And it's not packed.
Steve Wynn won't stop sending me discounted rooms via emails.
I can't help but think of the 80s when I think Mirage. And I do love me some 80s.

I never get comped in Vegas (outside of Harrahs/Quad via Horseshoe in Shreveport), so I tend to spend more $ at the pool than on my room.

I love staying at Vdara and playing at Bellagio - that's been the routine the last five times I've been. Would like to check out Encore or Wynn one of the next few times down... And, someday, the Mandarin.

Agree that Aria is over hyped cause it's newer... Rooms are smallish, and the only thing I like about the casino floor layout is that there're doors to the outside close to the poker room.

Really ??

No interest ?

I stopped on a layover in 2001. Was only 18. Got married at 24. Never really had a chance other than living in La/Beverly hills the last two years. With kids it's not the easiest place to get to. Always wanted the enter the LVH contest or go for the tourney. Its on my bucket list for sure. In 2001 my dad left me and sister in the hotel and went to the tropicana til 5am lol

Beverly Hills is like a four hour road trip. Are your kids really young? Cause there's a lot for kids to do there now.

Starting ib 79 would go almost every yr in the fall. Rent an apt & stay till March. Saw many changes over the yrs, 1st place ever played was the old Castaways, really small by todays standards. 2 fountains in the Frontier, 1 Bloody Mary's the other champaigne. Saw the Dunes implode, the sports book on Sun, @ the Stardust was insane. Good times, glad I was there. OMG the Ladies!!!

Played poker at the Mirage for several months in 2002 during football season........poker room wasn't as big as others, but was cozy & friendly.

Would get pretty full at nights.......didn't play there in 2009 so don't know if the poker room had changed at all.

Didn't care for their sports book much tho, didn't like the set up.

Back then I preferred the Stardust sports book myself because of their set up......Mandalay Bay was nice too.

the Poker room is much smaller now. They just changed it and built a brand new room.

8 and 3. If I were to go it would be to gamble. One day when my son is older, I'll take him with me.

Shub - I can give you a ton of pointers on taking kids to vegas if you ever need them! My five year old has prob been 10+ times and my 2 year old prob 4 or 5....I've got the children's museums, activities and sitter services on lock down!
