Curious question. If you were not on the USA military payroll, or on the dole of some religious fraud, then why would you vote against your own self interests by voting in favor of the parasite republican banking, insurance, medical plan, telecom industries that suck your dollar blood ? The Republican party is shrinking down to the few southern white surpremist parasitic states who are reaping the benefits of nonfunctional educational mad at the world christian militarist community votes. These states stole strong middle class union jobs from north and east states like Minnesota, and now spawn alien 'esque banking and tax regulations that enables and rewards these jobs and factories to be shipped to China, Mexico, Indonesia, Israel, and India and other pillars of democracy in a race to the US economic breadline small town bottom.

the union did some crazy shit like illegally hanging banners on buildings that such and such a company does whatever
company finally said fuck this shit we've had it
time to move south so we don't have to deal with this bullshit anymore
speaking of unions and how ridiculous its become on that front
was talking to somebody that's a grad student out in cali
he said that the UAfuckinW runs the graduate student union out there...my jaw fucking dropped.....just insanity
here's another good example of union's for ya fuckin people over
lets say a grad student wants to be a TA in a times when money is real tight
well due to the union contract they must be paid a certain amount and are not allowed to work for less
therefore most of the TA positions are given to undergrads since they have no union and they are paid less..the grad student if they are looking for a TA spot is SOL and cannot be paid an undergrad rate even if they want to...due to the union contract

Bardude, the weather may have had something to do with it, but it's really all about operating costs.
Higher taxes, higher workers' compensation rates, higher minimum wages and such have all made doing business up North much more expensive. Throw in higher rents & increased utilities & the overall higher cost of living and many companies simply can't get out of here fast enough.
Of course, we still have a highly employed population. Maybe that's because the unemployed are moving to warmer weather states or collecting from our generous welfare program.
