When I first saw this line, I was surprised at how low the price was. I expected Spain to be a much bigger favorite and they should be. France stinks. Their coach has no clue. This is an old, slow team. Of course they will bring Zidane back into the lineup after his one game suspension. He has had a marvelous career but he is far past his prime. Frank Ribery should be playing in that spot. He brings a lot of speed into that midfield. Louis Saha should be starting instead of David Trzeguet. Trezeguet couldn't score if he was the only player on the field. Barthez is a shaky goalie and is out of position far too much.

Spain is just a much better team. France won't score so Spain has 90 minutes to put at least one in the back of the net. You can play this at Spain PK -140 or Spain to advance at -140. I played Spain to advance at -140 just in case it should go to extra time, I'll have the fitter team and if it goes to penalties I'll take Casillas over Barthez.

Spain to advance at -140

Rom, I'm not saying your wrong only take into account Argentina tonight, most didnt think they would have to fight for it.

As for the The game in hand, Spain have been complete wasters in International Games and like The Argies, have looked Good so far, whereas France seems to be getting that Brazilian syndrome of ,We can turn it on when we like. The Frogs are very hard to score on and you have a "Were superior to you" thing going on. Spain will not come back like the Argies did, they havent the mentality against The French, that goes for any stage of the game, penalties will be like an execution to Spain. :drink:

Winbet I actually played the over today and Mexico +1.5

As far as the Spanish history in the Cup, Im well aware. I really think that certain players fit certain systems, and France's does not suit Henry, couple that with the fact that France's midlfield is aging. I just think Spain is due. What has France really done since Euro 2000? Not much, and we cant argue that Spain certainly was the better team thus far in this tourney. YOu dont think the price is nice because of expectations (1998 & 2000) of a French squad who is just old?

I do agree however that if France gets up a goal it would be hard to score on them, although Barthez is a complete bloke. But the French attack is not that great IMO. We will see, I think the battle in the midfield will be won by the Spaniards.

At least your having a bet coming from a knowledgable background, you deserve Good Luck not like some of these Posters who I would give Evens, they know how many Players in a Team. :103631605

I was just about to post a thread about this line after I saw it but I see you've got one already.

I'm surprised by this line. First of all this is still a France team who seems to struggle to score. Took them awhile to get 2 goals vs Togo, who definitely was one of the worst teams in the WC with all the turmoil they had.

They did play better on offense w/o Zidane it seemed. They probably would be better off without him but he will play in the game vs Spain.

Spain on the other hand has been on a roll. Should have had a ton of goals vs Saudi Arabia but of course was missing some starters. I think they should be able to create a lot of chances with France's defense.

I do like Spain to advance here with the low price.

Spain had an easy group...but France looks so aged and stodgy on offense that it'll be hard to look their way.

I like their attack and depth, but their albatross of mental weakness and underachievement still hangs around the neck of Espana.

We shall see.

France's defense has a lot of fast black people. This should not be underestimated.

Thats it, they've got that mentality the Italians have been Years trying to get out of. You cant score on us so its a matter of time before we do syndrome.
The only other point I would make is We are now at the stage where every team left has players who can turn a Game on their own, so personally I would rather bet the odds against.
