CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- An Iraqi militant group has beheaded its South Korean hostage, Al-Jazeera television reported Tuesday.

The pan-Arab station said it had received a videotape showing that Kim Sun-il had been executed.

Kim, 33, worked for a South Korean company supplying the U.S. military in Iraq and was abducted last week, according to the South Korean government.

Afghans behead Taliban in revenge for beheadings
Reuters ^ | 6/22/04

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, June 22 (Reuters) - Afghan soldiers beheaded four Taliban fighters after guerrillas cut off the heads of an Afghan interpreter for U.S.-led forces and an Afghan soldier, a government commander said on Tuesday.
The interpreter and the soldier were beheaded after becoming separated from a patrol of Afghan and U.S.-led foreign troops in the Arghandab district of Zabul province on Monday night, Namatullah Tokhi, commander of the government's 27th division in the province, told Reuters.

He said government troops later captured and killed four Taliban guerrillas in the same way. "They cut of their heads with a knife, so when our forces arrested four Taliban, we cut off their heads too."

We should take out Al Jazeera - and we should take out the people that are hosting these websites of theirs - regardless, this is all Bush's fault - we should be hunting down terrorist instead of effing around with the Bath Party.

however I find myself in tears when I read what is going in the world...

the recent prisoner abuse scandal, aswell as these ghastly decaapation by terrorists, coupled with what is happening in the SUDAN have me very shaken...

my condolences to anyone who has been afflicted by what is the savagery of the HUMAN BEING...

Given the choice i would much rather have a pair of woman panties on my head than to have it sawed off.

You putting the two situations on equel footing makes me tear up in symapthy for your pathetic analogy.

Come on Savant, get on here and explain why the prisoner abuse scandal is on the same level of the beheadings. Patriot raises a good point, justify your ludicrous post. And don't give me this "oh, the prisoner scandal pissed off Al-Quaida" b.s. They wanted us destroyed way before any prisoner abuse episode.

More blood on Bush's hands. Invading Iraq has become a complete disaster. Everytime I think of the religious nut on the aircraft carrier with a huge banner behind him saying "mission acomplishment" I want to puke.

Yes, it would be hard to wear some of these skanks panties on my head ....but I would prefer that than the other. Guys and Gals, it is funny trying to get some of these people to see regular and realistic points of view. The Eek, Lander, Phaedrus, and other weirdo types in here. I hope people only take them with a grain of salt, or we are in trouble.

wow...your ignorance amazes me...

First of all I am not putting those two instances on the same footing, they are all different...One was committed by the representatives of a governemtn & the other by terrorists.

Secondly, you cannot compare the acts of terrorists with the acts of an 'Official' Government Body...What the prison guards did is in many ways worse than the be-heading due to the fact that these are official representatives being paid to do a job in an 'official military' not terrorists.

Thirdly, the prisoners were subjected to WAY WORSE torture than panties on their head, they were humiliated, forced to denouce their religion aswell as forced to eat Pork & drink Liquor (you probably dont know this but that is also against their religion).

Fourthly, the USA is there to try to 'CIVILIZE' the iraqi's they are putting the message out to the world that they are the most civilized country & they are their to help IRAQI's...Yet they still are not perfect enough to prevent the kind of disaster we all saw at the prison... THE USA & their representatives must be held to AN EXTREMLY HIGH LEVEL OF ACCOUNTABILITY, as it is them who CHOSE to INVADE IRAQ to bring their democracy to the people...A Democracy that showed its full colors at the prison....

The be-heading's are ACTS of TERRORISTS, of course they are horrible....But equally as horrible is what the administration is doing to these prisoners aswell as those in CUBA....IF THE USA IS GONNA TALK THE TALK on how great their democracy is etc etc & how the rest of the world must have it...THEN THEY MUST ALSO WALK THE WALK aswell.... Dont forget, if you are gonna tell the world how great your country is & if you are gonna invade a country WHEN THE REST OF THE WORLD is telling you not too, you are damn right that you are gonna be held accountable as an administation....

Saying that the Prisoner absue is NOTHING compared to the De-capatation, & insinuating that is therefore ok...is one thing...IGNORANT...

I feel sorry for you Patriot, your ignorance is Bliss...it is a shame...KEEP WATCHING CNN & FOXNEWS & keep go on Beleiving that you are an educated or insightful person...

LMFAO....

Feel free to actually take me on points some time diablo. Believe it or not I am opposed to the beheading of innocents by radical Muslim extremists. Sorry I never made that clear before now.

But seriously, feel free to come make a grown-up counterpoint in any of my thousands of threads here at the Rx.

Also, everyone prety much does take what I and people like myself say with a grain of salt, or at least as some sort of idealistic ranting, which is why the world is the way it is today. So you're covered on that point.
