I agree MM, thought Deshaun would be heads and shoulders above any QB in college this season. Didn't happen. Williams will NOT go number one though, LOL, not sure that's what you were inferring. To be frank, I'm not sure I see him going before second round. There's a ton of line needs in the NFL right now, and some secondary as well. Yeah, lot of banged up QB's, but nothing that serious unless you're the Cleveland Browns, LOL, and have nothing to be banged up. GL my friend.

I said nothing in my post about William's draft stock. It won't be near #1, or maybe not even first 3-4 rounds. I only mentioned Watson, who's an NFL bust IMO. I only stated Williams chance to "outshine" everyone's glorious #1 pick and Heisman hopeful, and I think he gets the job done, easily...

I'd hardly consider a 1 loss 5 point dog that wins "shocking the world".

UNC played a soft schedule, even softer than Clemson's. We'll see how Williams does on a much bigger stage than he's used to, against a pretty solid team. No doubt UNC will put up some points though, and if Clemson plays a sloppy game (like they did last week), they likely won't get out alive.

That being said, UNC seems to be a VERY popular play this week. I am staying away ATS on this. I have a future on Clemson to win it all, so just going to root for them to win and get in the playoff.

UNC a popular play? I guess it depends where you live and look because around here they've forgot they're even having to play a couple games to be in the NC game as they're already in...

The same can be said for the Clemson/SC game...at least UNC covered.

UNC didn't cover that game, they won by 3 in OT.

While the Clemson-SC game was WAY closer than Clemson would have liked, I think it's worthy of noting that after Clemson scored to go up 14-0 with just under 3 minutes left in the 2Q, South Carolina NEVER possessed the ball with a chance to take the lead. Not once. So while on paper it seems like a close game with upset potential, in reality Clemson had things relatively under control, despite losing 3 fumbles. Granted, Clemson did NOT look it's best that day, and if they play like that this week they won't be so fortunate.

I'm mostly referring to what I see on the boards here and a couple other places. A lot of people talking up UNC to pull off the upset. I think a lot of that is Clemson hate though, and I do not have any official %'s on how each side has been bet, just my perception from watching the boards the past week.

Clemson's last 3 games were against 3-9 teams. They haven't looked their best in awhile. Maybe they're due, doesn't matter to me either way, UNC takes this one...

I misread thinking NCST. Either way, I couldn't careless about the last 2 games, or any for that matter. It is about this one. Same goes for the folks giving UNC zero chance because they lost to SC the first game of the year. That ish is comedy gold...

Right, and they won all 3, outscoring those teams 107-72, while losing the turnover battle in each game. So there is your key to Clemson winning this week, hold on to the ball. If they don't, as I have said, they are in trouble.

Yeah, my bad, misread the post, you clearly stated Deshaun being a possible No. 1 pick. I'm gonna side with Conan here and say that the West Coast does NOW have THE bevy of QB's in the land, making that dream extremely tough to become reality. Whole damn D coming back though, so Clemson should be tough again next year. He'd have to win the Heisman to have a ghost's chance in hell of being drafted first, but that's a whole year and change away.

Yeah, the SC loss was ages ago. Anyone giving UNC ZERO chance isn't looking at things even remotely objectively. Clemson is very good, but certainly no clear cut favorite to win it all, if they were they'd be laying 14+ here, and it's less than a TD, so obviously UNC has a legit shot.

BOL on the game.....................:smoking:

Seems every day in the Charlotte Observer, Williams beats himself over the head for that as well he should, two picks in the endzone more than cost them that game. They don't lose that and they're in the running (laughter from the forum now, please). The UNC AD has been politicking all week for a shot at the playoff should they beat Clemson, of course citing Ohio State's getting in last year. Got a news flash.......UNC wins, NOBODY from the ACC gets in.

I agree...

they made a resume for deshaun Watson for Heisman. It even listed a key win against Wofford. Lol. The last time Clemson did this was for CJ Spiller. They made posters and passed them out at the local grocery stores. It was dooms day afterwards as CJ battled his turf toe injury all season afterwards...just sit back and let him play, Clemson, this ish is crazy, but always comedy gold in the end...

OMG and Lord!!! Woffffffffffffffffffffffffie!??? Ah shit, that's some real funny stuff MM. I kid you not, I think it was a hoops game about 8 years ago, Wofford playing someone, can't remember who, but I capped the game and gave the play to one of my best drinking buddies. We're sitting at a TGIF Fridays drinking and watching hoops and watching for the Wofford score to come across the "Bottom Line," every so often, and every time it came by, we'd start barking, "woof, woof, woof." LOL. They handily covered. But foots, Yowlza, not sure I'd put that one on my resume.

Yes, I said Watson was the best QB in the Nation before the year started, but to my surprise, he fumbles and throws more picks than he should, and that's okay, but he gets rattled now when things aren't completely going the team's way, and is one big play away from the other team in being doomed for good.

I think it's the other way around to some extent. He gets sloppy in less competitive games and stays sharp in the tougher ones. In the six games where Clemson was favored by 10.5 or less, Watson threw 4 picks (incl. 1 vs. Notre Dame and 0 vs. Florida State), and Clemson was +5 in TO margin. In the 6 games where Clemson was favored by 17 or more, Watson threw 6 picks, and Clemson was -8 in TO margin.

Wofford is a scrappy little basketball team. One of the most fun games I've attended was there when Steph Curry was in the building.

But yea, the resume is hilarious. I haven't seen the cover letter, but it wouldn't surprise me at all of it was endorsed by Perry Noble.

Come on Man!!! The stats are readily available at God knows how many sites, but just to help you out, Clemson ranked 7th and Vagina Tech 35th this season in D. GL And I wouldn't be concerned about that over bet, I'm expecting no less than 35 in the first half.

Last tidbit and then ya want more, I take ******, LOL. Last season, Clemson ranked Numero Uno in defense, Numero Uno in 15 different D stats. UNC hung 478 yards on them, Williams threw for 345 yards and 4 TD's. Clemson won 50-35, but I'm just saying......UNC much better this year, and Clemson D not last year's. We're drinking a shot a score, I expect to be hammered by the end of the first half, LOL. GLTA at the RX!

Ooops, can't print that shit, LOL. Sorry Mods.
